13.1-Im Only Half Crazy

Today was a definite milestone in my training. I ran 6 miles, almost half-way there! I haven’t ran anything over 4 miles in months and I only ran 4 once during training lately.
So funny story to start. Last night I was dreading getting up to run 6 miles. I set three alarms the first one set as “get up and run” the second one set as “No seriously, go run” and the final one set as “No excuses, run!”. I only needed the first one thankfully. I really think just knowing I have to run 13 miles has kept me motivated in running these long distances for training.
I went out this morning with a goal of doing this in an hour. I felt like 10min mile pace while training was okay. I started running at 9:45 this morning and finished at 10:35!!! 50 minutes! :) I was so excited to beat the time I had originally set out for myself. I also saw 2 turtles on my run which was a pretty good distraction ha ha. Big bonus today was the furthest I have run w\o stopping! It was most definitely a good run.
To top off that great workout, I ended up walking 2 more miles later this evening with a friend, AAANNDD I keep a pedometer on me at work today I walked 7 miles during my shift. I got quite a bit of exercise throughout my day today. I ate some delicious brussel sprouts on my lunch break at work tonight too! yum :p stunk up our break room like crazy though :\
Leaving to go to Kansas City for the weekend for my best friends wedding, so excited. I’m gonna try to take Friday and Saturday off from running.
